The Rooppur nuclear plant will have two VVER-1200 reactors. Each of the reactors is designed for a 60-year service life. The web site says that the project’s chief designer OKB Gidropress (a subsidiary of Rosatom’s Atomenergomash based in Podolsk, Moscow Region) will develop engineering documents for the reactor (code B-523) by 30 September 2019. Preparation of the documents will cost 2 billion rubles, including VAT.
