Rosatom and the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs were authorized to hold talks with Cuba and sign the respective agreement. Prepared together with the Cuban representatives, the draft agreement provides for cooperation in fundamental and applied nuclear research, including nuclear medicine, nuclear waste disposal, nuclear and radiation safety, production of isotopes for medical, agricultural and industrial use, and training of Cuba’s nuclear specialists.
