Fuel assembly improved

The new assembly was presented at the 11th International Conference on VVER Fuel Performance in Bulgaria. Ivan Vasilchenko, a chief expert at OKB Gidropress, explained that TVS-2M “showing unprecedented stability of shape despite of burn-up value and fuel cycle duration” was a close prototype of the new assembly. “These properties put no limitation on the design of fuel loading schemes,” he noted.
