An access road to the NPP site has been transferred to the project owner Fennovoima (a 34% share indirectly held by Rosatom). The road to the NPP site on the Hanhikivi peninsula near Pyhäjoki had been constructed by Suomen Maastorakentajat Oy since 2014. According to the contract with Fennovoima, the company built a 4-kilometer two-lane road, a water pipeline, a walkway, a bicycle lane and a bridge. The total contract price was little above 5 million Euro.
