“Further cooperation is aimed at developing six most promising concepts of nuclear energy systems offering economic, safety and nuclear waste management advantages, and establishing criteria and requirements for Gen IV nuclear reactors,” says the message on the Cabinet’s website. “Extension of the Agreement gives us an opportunity to participate in the development of international criteria and requirements for Gen IV systems, and harmonize Russian standards.”
