“Before 2010, MEPhi did not have a single foreigner among its students and researchers. Over the recent years, we have increased the number of events involving renowned foreign researchers,” Nagornov said. According to him, this has added to the university’s academic reputation. The number of foreign citizens among MEPhI students and teachers has considerably grown, too. This year, 14% of teachers and 12% of students at MEPhI are from abroad (vs. less than 2% and 6.6% respectively in 2014).
