TVS-K fuel was developed by Rosatom with a goal to enter the market of nuclear fuel for PWR reactors installed at foreign-designed nuclear stations. Yury Olenin remarked that TVEL and the US company GNF-A signed an agreement in May 2016 to form a consortium and marketing the Russian TVS-K fuel assemblies for Western-designed units operated in the USA. “The close cooperation with our American partners helped us successfully finish all necessary preparations and put them into practice”, Mr. Olenin noted.
